Tory Burch Wallet Paired with Gold Accessories

My new Tory Burch purchase was just delivered and I had to do a quick blog post on how gorgeous this wallet is! This Tory Burch Envelope Continental Wallet is the perfect mix of a yellow and green neon color.  I know some of you may be thinking, ok wait... isn't summer almost over?! But trust me, almost doesn't count and I can still rock this neon color well into fall.  It reminds me of a green apple and it goes perfectly with my new Tory Burch Robinson Pebbled Tote in Tiger's Eye.  It adds the perfect pop of color that I'll be longing for in the fall.  If you missed my recent post on my new Tory Burch handbag, you can see it here.

This envelope wallet is major paired with my gold Tory Burch Logo-Studded Metallic Leather Double-Wrap Bracelet and my pink faced Michael Kors watch!  With a few rings and fun nail polish I am a happy girl!  I can't get enough of the gold and neon colors together and when I have my black handbag, this wallet will still be the perfect compliment.  I encourage you to not be afraid of colors, especially in the fall as most of us tend to keep things safe with black.  There's nothing wrong with black but there's also nothing wrong with a little color!  The best part about this wallet was that it was on sale at toryburch.com.  I know, right?! I'll have everything linked below.

I'd love to know how you incorporate color into your fall wardrobe.  Please leave me comments below.

XOXO,
Nicole Veronica

Current Favorite Skin Care Products

So I've done a little shopping lately, probably enough to do a Sephora and Ulta Haul, yikes!  I thought I would minimize the list of products and share my current skin care favorites.  I use a good amount of face products and constantly buy more while rotating what I already have into my skincare routine.  This post is a compilation of my current favorites (not exactly all of the products I use) but mainly seven of my current skin care obsessions.

I use these products both in the morning, evening, or throughout the day when necessary.  The mask I'll mention below I try to use about once a week depending on the needs of my skin.  I promise you, that if I could find one skin care product on the market that would do the jobs of the entire list below, I would still prefer to have all of the different products for reasons based solely on their different textures and smells.  Besides, who doesn't want to feel pampered by rose water or relax with a peppermint mask?

My current obsession of all the products mentioned is the Mario Badescu Skin Care Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater... Yes, ROSEWATER!  I mean it smells like roses! So heavenly and so refreshing!  You can use the facial spray before and after applying make-up, or throughout the day to replenish dull or dehydrated skin.  My little secret is I keep a travel size bottle in my purse and a second larger one in the fridge for a cooling boost.  The spray lightly mists onto skin and absorbs quickly, making it perfect for traveling too.  The rose scent is not powerful and is just utterly perfect for all skins types.

Also in my current list of favorite skin care products is Garnier's Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream for Normal/Combo Skin.  This refreshing gel-cream is ideal for my skin as it is not too heavy, absorbs quickly, and goes great underneath make-up.  I tend to be on the oilier side and living in Southern California has my skin craving hydration.  This moisturizer has grape-water extract and Vitamin E, leaving my skin smelling refreshed and feeling cool.  If you tend to be on the drier side, they also sell a formula for dry skin with two times more moisturizing agents.

My night routine consists of eye cream.  I have two that I recommend for best results.  As I get older I worry about the skin around my eyes.  I am fortunate to not have any eye wrinkles or crows feet yet, but I truly believe in early prevention.  Sometimes I will get puffiness around my eye from lack of sleep, but for the most part I attribute my luck to religiously using eye cream.  I even carry a tube in my purse for the mornings when I have not had a lot of sleep.  The first eye product is by Garnier called Ultra-Lift Anti-Wrinkle Firming Eye Cream.  This is a white lotion that you dab around the outer corners of the eye and underneath.  I use this both in the morning and night or throughout the day if my eye area is feeling dry.  I experience no irritation, redness or peeling from this cream so I can use it frequently.  The second eye cream is a newer purchase for me, but I have been loving it!  It is the RoC Retinol Correxion Sensitive Eye Cream.  This is anti-aging for retinol-sensitve skin and reduces the appearance of crow's feet and under eye wrinkles.  This formula works well in the morning and night, as well as under make-up.  I rotate this one and only use it once every other day and only at night.  I am somewhat sensitive to retinol but I have read that I can build up a tolerance for it by gradually incorporating it into my skincare routine.  I do notice the benefits when using this, but I will also see slight peeling of my skin when I wash my face if I use it too often.

The other two products I use at night are for any breakouts I may have.  The first one is Up & Up's Maximum Strength Acne Medication with Benzoyl Peroxide Gel.  This product helps to clear up and reduce the severity of acne outbreaks and I use it whenever I need to quickly dry a breakout.  My skin responds really well to benzoyl peroxide since salicylic acid can cause me slight irritation.  Whenever I use this, the blemish is practically gone overnight.  The second product in my current favs is the Murad Post-Acne Spot Lightening Gel.  This little bottle works wonders and fades post-acne discoloration with powerful skin lightening agents, while minimizing breakouts with plant-derived blemish fighters.  It's like having two products in one that are both beneficial when experiencing a break-out.

My final skin care favorite is by Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics and it's their Mask of Magnaminty. This mask is so addicting and packed with peppermint, kaolin and adzuki beans. It basically smells like mint ice cream and is practically safe to eat.  Lush makes an array of natural products including their famous bath bombs, but this mask tops their list for me.  There should be a warning on this little black tub that you may want to eat it, haha.  The peppermint smells wonderful and the I can feel the adzuki beans exfoliating off any dead skin when I wash it off.  Afterwards, I promise you my skin feels sooo soft.
All of these products mentioned work well together, and I hope you are able to find a new item that you may want to incorporate into your skincare routine.  If you like any of the products mentioned, I'll have some linked above, and throughout the post.  Have you tried any of these products I mentioned?  I would love to hear your recommendations, and if there was one skin product you could not live without, what would it be?  Please comment below!

What's Inside My Bag: Tory Burch Robinson Pebbled Square Tote

My newest handbag is fresh from this past weekend's Labor Day sales.  I feel like I scored a major steal at toryburch.com where I got 30% off my order and free two-day shipping with PayPal.  I felt it was entirely necessary to treat myself as my birthday was over the weekend too.  Happy Tory Burch birthday to meee!

My friends and family know I like things organized and because of my Virgo sign I am a little bit of a perfectionist.  Ok, let's be real... I am a control freak!  Yikes!  This definitely does not differ with how I maintain the contents inside of my handbag and because I have never been known to travel light, I must keep things orderly if I ever wish to find that mophie charger I keep in case of a random  power outage... Does anyone else do that too?  With a new handbag as pretty as this one, I thought I would share what's inside of my bag and how I keep some of my things organized.

As I mentioned, I bought this handbag from toryburch.com as I have been eyeing it for some time.  I currently have a black Michael Kors Selma handbag that I love, so choosing this color was easy to offer me some variety and softness as we enter my favorite fashion season... FALL!  The color reminds me of a pumpkin spiced latte and I love that it is so versatile with almost any color I add to my fall wardrobe.  This handbag is the Tory Burch Robinson Pebbled Square Tote in the color Tiger's Eye.  The gold hardware against the tan leather is to DIE FOR!! Seriously, it is even prettier in person!  This tote offers both top handles and an optional strap to wear cross-body, or over the shoulder.  It has two interior zippered compartments, along with three smaller pockets inside.  I love this shape and the soft leather with the structured shape screams purr-fection to me.

As far as what's inside my bag, I carry my Michael Kors cross body clutch in place of my wallet so that if I wish to run a quick errand without my purse, this is all I need to grab in order to carry my keys, iPhone, and cards.  Also in my purse is my gold coach card holder that I purchased a few years ago which is actually perfect to carry my Mophie Juice Pack Powerstation for both my iPad or iPhone.  The front pocket keeps the powerstation cords tidy and the charger pack fits perfectly inside the zippered compartment.  In addition to my keys, I have an octopus hand sanitizer from Bath and Body Works and a rollerball in my favorite Chanel Chance perfume.  I have my black Prada sunglasses, Josie Maran Argan Infinity Cream, and YSL Rouge Volupté lipstick in 1 as mentioned in my Daily Essentials blog post here.   I have linked the products below if you are interested in more details or purchasing any of these items for yourself.

Feel free to email me with any questions on what's in my bag and I'd love for you to comment below letting me know what items you carry inside of your bag or what you recommend for me to buy for mine.

XOXO,
Nicole Veronica

Daily Essentials & New Kate Spade Agenda

Hi Beauties!  I thought it would be perfect for me to share a few of my daily essentials with you along with my new Kate Spade Agenda.  This agenda has been my obsession... EEEEeeeee!!!  I have been wanting to get my hands on this for a while but felt guilty for replacing my current agenda that is still good through the end of the year.  Well, the time has come and this Kate Spade Agenda is perfect because it contains the full 2015 calendar year AND the remaining months of 2014 starting with August of 2014.  Besides the fact that it is a perfect combination of baby pink on the inside and gold polka dots, I am in love with the quotes inside!  I mean who doesn't want to "dance till dawn" or "lose your head in the clouds"... seriously!  I can't help but smile when I open this calendar.  The only downside to this perfect agenda is it might really just be too cute to write in... like maybe I'll just put it on a shelf and look at it from there? Lol, I'm kidding... sort of.

Anyway, in addition to this perfectly sized agenda I ALWAYS carry with me a few necessities.  As posted on my instagram @nicole.veronica, I also carry with me my Josie Maran Argan Infinity Intensive Creamy Oil.  I mean this thing literally does everything! It has an infinite amount of uses and is petroleum free.  If you are interested in a more detailed list and product review, please refer to my older blog post linked here.

My other favorite beauty essential is my Yves Saint Laurent Rougue Volupté Lipstick in 1.  This lip shade is the holy grail of the perfect nude/pink with a creamy texture that also has SPF 15.  I can't say enough about the packaging... I mean gold anything is my thing apparently, how about you?

Grouped with my essentials are my PRADA 56mm black sunglasses and my Michael Kors gold Skylar watch with crystal embezzled stones.  These sunglasses are your classic black square frame with with UV protection and the gold watch can be dressed up or down by stacking more arm candy on your wrists.

I rotate my daily essentials, but over the past month these have been my go-to items.  What are a few of your daily essentials?  I would love to hear what yours are, and please leave me comments below letting me know if you have any that you recommend I try too.

XOXO,
Nicole Veronica

My Current Favorite Mascaras

I love long eye lashes!  I have tried countless mascaras in hopes of finding the perfect mascara that never clumps, never flakes or rubs off under my eye, and that never looks like I'm wearing too much mascara.  Over the years I have had one mascara that for me, is my holy grail mascara.  It is my False Lashes mascara in Extreme Black by MAC Cosmetics.

False Lashes Extreme Black, Mac Cosmetics, $21.

It easily separates, lengthens and thickens my lashes without looking too overdone or too heavy.  It is in the darkest black and is so easy to apply with the straight, closely wired wand. The formula sticks together throughout the day and even when the tube is beginning to dry out the mascara actually gives more volume! How is that even possible? I think it has to do with the mascara sticking together more at the base... But either way this mascara is definitely worth trying out.

False Lashes Extreme Black, Mac Cosmetics, $21.

The Fase Lashes by Mac Cosmetics comes in your choice of False Lashes Extreme Back (my personal favorite), Black, Blue, Plum, Eggplant, Brown, and if you prefer, even a waterproof formula.

False Lashes Extreme Black, Mac Cosmetics, $21.

If you crave more voluminous lashes I also recommend my second favorite mascara.  I have just tried the sample sizes so far but I am already in love!  It is the Benefit Cosmetics They're Real! Mascara.  This mascara is great for coating lashes, and with the small round tip, the wand makes it easy to get the corner and bottom lashes.  It adds shine to your lashes and does not flake off throughout the day.

Benefit Cosmetics They're Real! Mascara, $23.

I love coating my lashes with my MAC False Lashes first and then before the mascara dries I add on a layer of this Benefit Cosmetics They're Real! Mascara to the top and bottom.  The shine gives your lashes the false lashes effect without the sticky lash glue and fake lash feel.

Benefit Cosmetics They're Real! Mascara, $23.

Another great alternative to these higher end brand mascaras is the L'Oreal Voluminus Lash Out Butterfly Mascara.  This mascara will literally give your lashes so much length with its unique arched wand, however I feel that it does more to separate and elongate my lashes than it does to voluminize.

L'Oreal Voluminus Lash Out Butterfly Mascara, $9.

If you crave even more volume, I recommend pairing it with the Benefit Cosmetics mascara mentioned above.  This mascara goes on so smooth and with the arched applicator, it makes it easy to mimic the butterfly winged effect with one sweep.  I was impressed by the formula and found it to be a great drugstore alternative for the MAC False Lashes mascara.

L'Oreal Voluminus Lash Out Butterfly Mascara, $9.

My secret weapon: to layer all three mascaras starting with MAC's False Lashes, then Benefit's They're Real!, and finally finishing the look with L'Oreal's Voluminous Lash Out Butterfly Mascara

L'Oreal Voluminus Lash Out Butterfly Mascara, $9.

These three mascaras have really stuck out from the rest as I'm always trying new ones.  It's great to experiment as new formulas promise a better version than before.  Do you have a mascara that is your favorite through thick and thin?  I would love to hear your recommendations!  Please comment below!

XOXO,
Nicole Veronica

Michael Kors Watches- My Latest Arm Candy

Happy New Year to everyone!  I cannot believe it has been this long since I have written a blog post!!  In my defense I did go back to school to further my education in hopes of entering a different career, however I cannot believe I have neglected my original love of writing about all things beauty and fashion!  This upcoming year I have made a New Year's Resolution to MYSELF to post more often and to further expand on my blog including a more in dept view of topics including nails, home decor and fashion… on top of the original beauty topics we all love.  Thank you for being patient with me, I thought I would start off the new year by posting two very special presents I received for Christmas- my Michael Kors watches!  Aren't they sooo pretty?!

Lately I have been OBSESSED with gold, blame it on Apple for my golden obsession since they came out with the new gold iPhone.  Of course I had to get that, and since then I haven't looked back.  I love the look and design of these two watches.  From first glance they appear to be similar, however the detailing on both make them quite unique.

MICHAEL KORS Ladies Skylar Gold- Tone and Crystal Watch, $275.

First, this MICHAEL KORS Ladies Skylar Gold- Tone and Crystal Watch has had me dreaming!  The face is somewhat separated from the band, however I feel it only makes it stand out more from the rest of Michael Kors' designs.  The side of the face is surrounded by crystals in closely set rectangular bezels.  The band links are a polished gold-tone with a single clasp on the back.  And look at that face!  It reminds me of a vintage time piece that would be handed down for generations with such a modern and refined glow.  The smaller circle is centered for seconds and the gold hands against the pearl tone is simply perfection!  I admit that as soon as I received both these watches I had them sized- which was super easy!

MICHAEL KORS 'Jet Set Sport' Watch, 38mm, $195.

My second watch, which was a beautiful gift is probably my most favorite… if I had to choose.  Its unique in that the face is bright fuchsia pink and screams my name!  There are single lines in place of the numbers, with smaller lines in between for the seconds.  In addition, there is a small open square in between the 3 and the 4 for the date.  I am in LOVE with this watch and with the simple polished links, I think this is my favorite watch I have ever owned.  If you prefer a more simple design, Michael Kors also makes another bright pink watch like this without the seconds and date on the face that I have linked for you to view below.  Also linked below is a watch I had considered purchasing myself, for when I want to opt for a more masculine/rocker look.  The gold really stands out against the black with a polished gold band as well.  I am content with these two, but I thought I would mention it for those of you on the market for a new watch.

MICHAEL KORS Ladies Skylar Gold- Tone and Crystal Watch & Stella and Dot Renegade Cluster Bracelet, $59.

This is my favorite way to style my watches.  I love to pair them with my Stella and Dot Renegade bracelet for an easy, go to look.  If I want to stack more I just layer on the gold, while combining textures for a more eye-catching arm stack.  Literally, like candy on my arm!  What is your favorite way to wear your watch, do you have a signature-go-to look, or do you tend to change it up often?  I'd love to hear how you wear your time pieces, please comment below!  I hope you have a fabulous new year, and I'll talk to you soon!
